Miss Oklahoma’s Outstanding Teen Places First Runner Up

Miss American’s Outstanding Teen was held August 13-17 in Orlando, FL. Miss Oklahoma’s Outstanding Teen, Ashten Vincent was named first runner up to Miss Florida’s Outstanding Teen, Leah Sykes. Vincent earned a $12,000 scholarship subsidized by Ronald Brouillette. Her talent performance was a Vocal and her personal platform is “S.E.R.V.E. – Students Encouraging and Recognizing Volunteer Efforts”.

Vincent won two preliminary competitions during the week. On Wednesday night she was the talent preliminary winner for her vocal performance “Bring Him Home.” On Thursday night she was named the preliminary Evening Gown/On-stage Question winner.

Miss America’s Outstanding Teen (MAOTeen) is the “little sister” organization of the Miss America Scholarship Organization. This not-for-profit program has made available more than $4 million in college scholarships nationally to young women from 13 to 17 years of age.
