Miss Oklahoma 2006 Lindsey Miller

Lindsey Hansen and her husband Erik live in Tulsa, OK. Lindsey loves being involved with the Miss Oklahoma Pageant. She manages all online and social media for the Miss Oklahoma Organization. Lindsey is the Communications Director for the American Heart Association in Tulsa and Oklahoma City. She also works as a Realtor for Coldwell Banker and a television host for regional TV shows and commercials. You may have seen her commercials for Silex Interiors, Lifestyles Hearing, Green Living, etc. Lindsey and her husband are very involved at their church, Guts Church. She leads worship at Guts on Sunday mornings and Wednesday night services. When Lindsey and Erik get a little free time, they love to travel, visit friends and family, try new restaurants, watch their favorite TV shows and Notre Dame football. They have two children, Easton and Elle.

Miss Oklahoma 2006 Bio

Lindsey Miller, Miss Oklahoma 2006, is a graduate of Oral Roberts University. She graduated with honors from ORU in 2005 while majoring in Broadcast Journalism and Public Relations. Lindsey received recognition as a Collegiate All-American Scholar, a member of Gamma Beta Phi Honor Society, the Dean’s List and the President’s Honor Roll. She was the anchor for her college news station and during her Senior year, Lindsey was hired as the Producer of a Nationally Syndicated Women’s Talk Show, “Make Your Day Count.”

While attending Oral Roberts, Lindsey had the opportunity to sing in many different arenas. She was a singer on a nightly television program, “The Hour of Healing,” which airs Nationally on more than 250 television stations. As a television singer, she traveled throughout the country and around the world.

In 2001, Lindsey graduated from Central Dauphin High School in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania. While in high school, she was a member of the National Honor Society and was a Student Council Officer. Lindsey was the Captain of the Cheerleading Squad, and the lead in the school performance of “The Pajama Game,” “How to Succeed in Business,” and “Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat.”

Lindsey always enjoyed watching pageants as she grew up but never imagined herself competing. With her love of performing in mind, she decided to enter her first Oklahoma local pageant. Lindsey won her first pageant becoming Miss Greater Oklahoma 2005. She went on to place Second Runner-up in Miss Oklahoma 2005 and was named “Rookie of the Year.” The following year Lindsey was named Miss Grand Lake and placed First Runner-up in Miss Oklahoma 2006. As Lauren Nelson went on to become Miss America Lindsey assumed the title of Miss Oklahoma.

Since college, Lindsey has been pursuing her television career by appearing in National and Regional television shows and commercials. She is continuing her love for singing by leading worship at Guts Church in Tulsa, Oklahoma. In a desire to influence the lives of future generations, Lindsey has been a mentor for the Big Brothers Big Sisters Organization for over two years. She will continue to spread the importance of mentoring throughout the state during her reign.

Lindsey is the daughter of Steve and Nancy Miller of Harrisburg, Pennsylvania. She has one sister Lauren, 19 who is a sophomore at Oral Roberts University.
