Lauren is a Magna Cum Laude graduate of Northeastern State University (NSU) with a Bachelor of Arts in Communication Studies and a minor in Marketing. During her undergraduate career, she was a campus leader with several organizations including Captain of NSU’s Pom Squad, Vice President of Membership with Delta Zeta Sorority, Rookie Bridge Camp Leader, and NSU’s Peer Instructor for students. Academically, she was selected to be in the prestigious President’s Leadership Class, earned a place on the President’s and Dean’s Honor Rolls, was a member of Rho Theta Sigma Honor Society, earned the NCAA Excellence in Academics Award, and was an Outstanding Senior Nominee. In addition, Lauren has won twice the All-American Collegiate Dancer Award with the National Dance Alliance (NDA), is a 2022 Pom NDA National Champion, was a Member of NSU’s Athletic Team of the Year and was a Member of NSU’s Homecoming Court.
Lauren is a Certified Clogging Instructor and has worked several years as a dance instructor and choreographer, teaching her love of clogging. She also has several years’ experience as an Educational Consultant, speaking to thousands of middle school, high school, and college students about the importance of planning for a bright future, self-advocacy, goal setting, and developing soft skills. She currently works for the State of Oklahoma at the Bureau of Narcotics and Dangerous Drug Control on their executive team.
Lauren began competing in the Miss Oklahoma’s Teen system in 2014 and held 3 titles. After her teen years, she competed 4 years at Miss Oklahoma with the titles of Miss NSU 2019, Miss Broken Arrow 2022, Miss OKC 2023, and Miss Bricktown 2024. Her first 2 years, she won non-finalist talent awards and as Miss OKC, she was a Top 10 Semi-Finalist. As Miss Bricktown 2024, she won the Community Service Award, the Social Media Award, a Preliminary Talent Award, a Preliminary Evening Gown Award, and ultimately, Miss Oklahoma. Her journey competing in the Miss Oklahoma Organization taught her the value of perseverance, hard work, and to trust in your timing.
As a proud adoptee, Lauren has served over 1,500 hours as an adoption advocate on her community service initiative she calls “Adoption as Oklahoma’s Option”. She has cultivated partnerships with several international and national adoptions organizations; assisted in several court adoptions; traveled to 39 states speaking to over 11,000 students; collected personal items for foster children through hosting drives; assisted with numerous galas and fundraising events; and held personal conversations with over 500 foster children, adoptees, adoptive parents and perspective parents, whose stories increase her passion for her work. As Miss Oklahoma, Lauren will travel the state, continuing her work with her adoption partners by using her story as an example of what love can do. Her legacy will be one of hope, sharing the message: “There are no unwanted children, just unfound families”
Lauren is the daughter of David and Kathy Frost of Wagoner, Oklahoma and has an older brother, Jonathan Frost.
