Miss Oklahoma to Help Mark Twain Elementary Complete MuralThe Tulsa Zoo is welcoming a regal guest November 2nd at 9:30am and a class of young artistes.  Mark Twain Elementary’s Youth Action Council Art Ambassadors have been working tirelessly to complete a special mural on the Tulsa Zoo’s new Jaguar Junction ice cream shop.  The mural is almost complete and as a special “treat”, Miss Oklahoma Taylor Treat will be lending a hand.  Treat and the 4th and 5th graders who have worked on this project, from researching the rainforest to creating the concept, will be at the Tulsa Zoo on Monday, November 2nd at 9:30 AM.  Miss Oklahoma’s platform is engaging students through service learning, so when she learned about the project, she was delighted to get involved with YACAA, which is a service learning program that engages 4th & 5th grade students in community service while promoting the arts.   We look forward to having you for this unique event.WHEN:             Monday, November 2nd – 9:30 AMWHERE:           Tulsa Zoo, 6421 E. 36th St. North, Tulsa, OK
