The Miss Oklahoma Organization is once again sponsoring the Oklahoma Stars Mentoring Program, which is a Chapter of the Miss America Little Sisters. The Oklahoma Star program is for young ladies ages Kindergarten through 5th Grade during the 2024-25 school year. (Must be 5 years-old as of 9/1/2024 and no older than 11 years-old as of 6/1/2025).
The current Miss Oklahoma local titleholders will serve as mentors to the Oklahoma Stars! The Oklahoma Stars will have the opportunity as provided by the local director and local titleholder to be a part of the titleholder’s year. The local titleholder is encouraged to engage her Oklahoma Star(s) in any activities that make her feel part of the titleholder’s year as she prepares for the Miss Oklahoma, represents her local organization at various events throughout the year, and be a part of any community service projects, if possible or if appropriate. A personal appearance from the titleholder to her Star’s school would be a good experience and would make your Star feel very special.
Besides the mentoring opportunity, each Oklahoma Star will have the opportunity to make an appearance on-stage during the 2025 Miss Oklahoma Competition. Each Oklahoma Star will also receive the official crown, Oklahoma Star sash, t-shirt and will have special gatherings with the titleholders during competition week. In addition, each Oklahoma Star will also receive two ticket packages, which gives them one ticket for the Oklahoma Star and one ticket for a parent to Miss Oklahoma 2025. Attached is a flyer and letter that you can give to prospective Oklahoma Star families to help introduce the Oklahoma Star Mentoring program.
The cost for participation in the Oklahoma Star Mentoring Program is $500.00. If your Oklahoma Star received the NEW official crown and Oklahoma Star sash last year her fee will be reduced unless she needs to replace her crown and/or sash. All Oklahoma Stars new to the program will receive the official crown and Oklahoma Star Sash.
