MIDWEST CITY—Chasity Ross, a University of Central Oklahoma junior business major from Muskogee, Okla., was crowned Miss Mid-Del 2010 on November 7. Ross will represent the Midwest City and Del City area at Miss Oklahoma/America June 9-12 in Tulsa, Okla. Her platform issue is E.C.H.O.- Enhancing Character Helping Others within the Mid-Del and Oklahoma City school systems.1st runner up was Veronica Wisniewski, Classen School of Advanced Studies College Prep High School senior from Oklahoma City; 2nd runner up was Jennifer Hancock, Oklahoma City University graduate student business administration major from Oklahoma City; 3rd runner up was Brittany Jo Bisel, Oklahoma City University freshman journalism major from Okeene; and 4th runner up: Ashley Edwards, University of Central Oklahoma senior dance major from Oklahoma City. The Crowd Pleaser Award went to Emily Northcutt, Oklahoma City University freshman music/business major from Oklahoma City More than $3,000 was awarded in cash scholarships, Rose State College tuition waivers and prizes.Ross is available to speak to school groups, civic organizations and others.
