What an incredible week at Miss America. A huge CONGRATULATIONS to Alicia. I could not be more proud! Alicia was outstanding in every phrase of competition and so deserving of her Talent win on Tuesday evening and then her showing on Saturday night to being announced as 2nd Runner-up to Miss America was incredible. Alicia had a fabulous week and enjoyed her time with all of the contestants. She is proud and excited that Miss New York, Mallory Hagan, is representing their class as Miss America 2013.
I want to thank everyone who made the trip to Las Vegas to support Alicia and to everyone who hosted watch parties. I know Alicia could feel your energy all night on Saturday. A special thank you to Kathleen Pettigrove for traveling to Las Vegas with Alicia and to our Oklahoma Prep Team – you are the best! As I always say, it can’t be done by just one person, it takes our entire group working hand-in-hand helping our Miss Oklahoma become the best she can be. And finally, a HUGE thank you to all of our sponsors. As you can tell Alicia stood out all 10-days from the Arrival Ceremony to the finals!
